Jubilee legislators allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta were also reportedly present at the party headquarters.

Meru Senator Mithika Linturi stated that they were summoned for a meeting by the officials at a time when the President is out of the country

The DP had earlier on confirmed that there are wrangles within the party. The issues ranged from how the headquarter is managed, how funds are used, to the decision to not field a candidate in the Msambweni, Kwale by-elections.

This meeting also came three days after Ruto skipped the National Covid-19 Conference held by the Head of State at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) on Monday, September 28.

State House stated that it had invited the DP. His allies, however, refuted arguing that they had frustrated him countlessly and never invited him to the said meeting.

Ruto surfaced on Tuesday, October 29, and condemned his critics. He also insisted on supporting the common mwananchi through his hustler system. ODM leader Raila Odinga had led Ruto’s rivals in castigating his donations to the youth.

"There is no assignment that the president has given to me that has not been discharged with distinction, and His Excellency can attest to this. You have appointed yourself to be supervising my work instead of minding your own business and serving Kenyan citizens," Ruto stated.
