Homeboyz Radio has complied with orders from the Communications Authority by suspending the Lift Off Breakfast Show which was hosted by former employees Shaffie Weru, DJ Joe Mfalme and DJ Neville.

The station on March 29, announced that Jamaican presenter Conrad Gray, popularly known as G Money, would be taking over the breakfast slot with his show G Money in The Morning.

This is not the first time G Money is hosting the breakfast show; it had been scrapped off during internal programming changes.

Many fans were excited to have the presenter back with one Twitter user commenting “I hadn’t been listening to HBR but now that G Money is back I have to tune in."

The show’s GMITM acronym was one of the top ten trending topics on the social media platform for most of Monday morning, March 29.

G Money spent his early life in the UK and Jamaica where he was exposed to different cultures.

He has more than 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry having participated in mega concerts for  Ja Rule, Jay Z, Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and many other superstars.

After failing to get a job in the UK's radio industry, G Money established his own pirate radio which he named Bassline FM.

A pirate radio station is a radio station that broadcasts without a valid license. The term was coined in the UK.

In 2002 he joined BBC which at the time wanted to expand its capacity as the digital revolution rocked the radio industry.

When he came to Kenya he continued using his skills to help Homeboyz Radio build its audience and created a thriving dancehall industry.

Through a series of concerts, organised with Homeboyz Entertainment, artists like Beenie Man, Alaine, Cecile, Christopher Martin, Darrio, D Major, Chronixx and Konshens have all performed in Nairobi.
