Actor Yasmin Said, popularly known as Maria wa Kitaa’s interview on Churchill Show ended in a snake scare after the host challenged her to confront her fears.

In the interview which aired on Sunday, March 28, Maria had revealed that her greatest fear was snakes.

The host, Daniel ‘Churchill’ Ndambuki tried to convince her to hold one of the snakes at The National Museums of Kenya where they were filming the show.

Churchill volunteered to hold the reptile first, which he did with a lot of fear and caution.

After the snake was firmly in his hands, he tried to pass it to Maria who was seated next to him, albeit maintaining a safe distance.

Despite being a good actor, her body movements and gestures showed she was genuinely scared, pleading with the host to stop intimidating her.

“I don’t want to hold it...get it away from me...[screams]...no,” she beseeched the comedian. In a final attempt to get the actor to confront her fears, he pretended to throw the snake at her, after which she let out a loud scream and almost took off running.

The National Museum staff who are experts at handling snakes were close by in case of any eventuality.

The Nairobi Snake Park is one of the National Museums of Kenya's attractions. On display are cobras, puff adders, mambas and the large African-Rock python (non-poisonous) found only in Kenya.

During the interview, Maria also divulged that she plans to join Daystar University in September 2021 to study business management.

After curtains fell on the Maria hit show, the actor is reportedly being considered to join MNET’s popular show, Selina.

"I believe she is set to join the cast. Though the details are still scarce. They are holding discussions," an insider told Kenyans.co.ke.
