He noted that the country had experienced a positive outlook on the Covid-19 positivity rate that stands at 2.7 per cent.

The Head of State has been adamant in enforcing the 10pm to 4am curfew directive since the onset of the pandemic.

This comes despite various pleas from a section of Kenyans urging the government to lift the curfew directive that has seen scores lose their jobs.

The government, however, has been urging Kenyans to adhere to the directive stipulated by the Ministry of Health in a bid to lower the Covid-19 infections.

Uhuru, in a previous address, pointed out that the measures were a vital step in the mitigation of the effects of the global pandemic.

He noted that the government would be taking steps in easing the restrictions put in place as they continue to monitor the infection rates.

In easing the restrictions, the Ministry of Transport allowed the Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) to resume carrying full capacity.

Currently, 3,874,083 Kenyans have been vaccinated while 250,114 positive cases have been confirmed in total.

The government continues its rallying call in urging Kenyans to take the jab and adhere to the Ministry of Health guidelines. The country has received a total of 6,388,920 vaccines.
