Wiper Party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, has disclosed details of their ongoing talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta and the possibility of striking a working deal between One Kenya Alliance (OKA) and the Jubilee Party.

Speaking in Kisii County where OKA held a series of political engagements on Thursday, February 17, Kalonzo admitted that OKA had approached the Head of State and the conversation is informed by the need to form the next government after the August 9 polls.

The former Vice President explained that OKA decided to approach Jubilee since the two political factions share the same political ideologies and that his team was ready to offer alternative leadership to Kenyans.

Accompanied by other OKA principals including KANU Party leader, Gideon Moi, Kalonzo further revealed that the President is not focused on his retirement, but rather working to strengthen his ruling Jubilee Party.

"I have made it clear that we are talking to President Uhuru Kenyatta. You may be thinking he is going away but he is busy strengthening Jubilee," he stated.

He further hinted at working with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader, Raila Odinga. Kalonzo explained that they share a working relationship with the former Prime Minister which would make it easy for them to reach an agreement ahead of the polls.

"Everybody knows the story of me and Raila that runs for 10 political years. We win sometimes and other times we fail. We are talking to them but I can tell you that even those talks have not fully begun," Kalonzo remarked.

This comes just months after other OKA principals, Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula joined United Democratic Alliance (UDA), a party associated with Deputy President William Ruto.

The trio has since formed the Kenya Kwanza Alliance that has been transversing the country popularising their bottom-up economic model.

On the other hand, Kalonzo together with Baringo Senator approached Narc Kenya leader, Martha Karua, in order to strengthen their political faction.
