Nakuru Senator and gubernatorial aspirant, Susan Kihika, has dismissed reports that she was kicked out of Deputy President William Ruto's meeting at his Karen residence.

The Senator responded after claims surfaced online that she was escorted out of the DP's residence after she was suspected of being a Jubilee mole in the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party and Kenya Kwanza faction.

Laughing off the allegations, the outspoken Senator stated that she would never betray UDA, adding that the allegations were being peddled by some Jubilee bloggers who were out to create friction among leaders in UDA.

"Waaaa! I have been falsely accused of many things in my political career but never of being a Jubilee mole in UDA," she stated.

"It’s the high octane political season where anything goes. But it's ok, I have forgiven you, God is in control."

City lawyer turned pro-government blogger, Wahome Thuku, had claimed that Kihika was escorted out of the Karen residence by a top ally of the Deputy President after she was accused of leaking UDA secrets to the Jubilee Party.

Thuku went ahead to point an accusing finger on some Members of Parliament of being behind Kihika's alleged woes.

Senator Kihika has been at the forefront in campaigning for DP Ruto in Nakuru as she also seeks to unseat Governor Lee Kinyanjui in the August vote.

"In the whole country, we had three female governors. But, after the demise of (Dr) Joyce Laboso, we now have two. In 2022, I want to join the league of women governors in Kenya.

"My people have been telling me to do so and I am listening to them. There is a very big chance that, yes, I will throw my hat in the ring," she stated while declaring her interest in the Nakuru gubernatorial seat.

Kihika is the daughter of the late veteran President Daniel Moi-era politician Kihika Kimani, who served as the Nakuru East MP.
