After years on the grind, it seems popular Tiktok star Aq9ine, known for his experience eating a spider, is now reaping his rewards from the social media platform.

In an interview on Monday, July 25, the content creator, who is mostly referred to as the King of Muguka, noted that he earned over Ksh136,000, funds he used to buy himself a new motorcycle.

He further noted that he bought the motorbike to widen his sources of income in his native Meru County where he occasionally works in the construction industry.

He bought the bike roughly two months ago.

"At the end of the day, I am a hustler. I must do my work, entertain you on Tiktok but on the ground, I work in the construction industry. I focus on things that can bring me returns," stated Aq9ine.

In the candid conversation, the Tiktoker further disclosed that he yearned to upgrade to a sports bike before eventually purchasing his dream car, a Subaru car.

To keep him safe on the road, Aq9ine also purchased a safety gear comprising of a jacket valued at Ksh 3,500 as well as a helmet that set him back Ksh 16,000.

Although Tiktok offers a funding programme for its creators, the star noted that it was not always easy to make money on the platform unless one is offered a deal by third parties.

The social media sensation attracted mainstream media attention in mid-July after claiming that he was hospitalised after eating a spider.

He is known for contravening health and societal norms all for content, likes and followings.

From eating bats, and cooking ugali with soda brands to consuming poisonous substances purchased from agro vets, including cockroach killers.

His content has always attracted uproar over his hazardous cooking stunts but he maintained that he will continue making continue.

"I will not stop creating content since it's how I make money. I research before I do any video. I will quit after I get serious health issues or even get admitted to the hospital. I don't want to die but entertain my fans. Expect what you don't expect but there are so many ideas," he explained.
