The police in both Kenya and Pakistan, however, have not confirmed the circumstances surrounding the journalist's death.

Sharif reportedly flew to Kenya from London after parting ways with his former employer following an interview that aired on the channel.

According to Dawn.com, a media outlet, the former news anchor was facing multiple sedition cases over his programming.

The interview in question is reported to have taken place on August 8 where the channel PTI leader Dr Shahbaz Gill.

Soon After, ARY News parted ways with the anchor over unexplained differences.

After resigning from the channel, the News anchor is said to have travelled to Dubai before heading to London and eventually travelling to Kenya.

Prior to a statement from his wife, the Pakistani press had speculated that he passed away in a road accident.

Kenyan authorities are yet to issue a statement on the matter.
