Shannon May is the President and Co-founder of Newglobe, the largest network of technology-enabled schools in Africa.

NewGlobe’s government and community programs serve nearly 2 million children each school day in six countries by creating powerful technology-enabled education systems. 

It has unequaled experience in changing educational outcomes at speed and at scale, delivering increased learning gains in marginalized and under-served communities.

The main aim of NewGlobal is to provide a holistic approach to school and school system support, providing integrated teacher support, school management practices, capacity building for ministerial leadership, and scientifically-tested digital and printing learning materials.

May received her BA Magna Cum Laude in social studies from Harvard university and a PhD in Anthropology from the University of California.
