Brygettes Ngana is the Regional Editor, South Rift for the Nation Media Group and is stationed in Nakuru County.

Ngana, who has over 10 years of experience in the media ecosystem, previously worked with KTN.

In the course of her media career, Ngana has been known for her in-depth investigative work and specialized knowledge in health and science communication.

Ngana pioneered TV reporting in Nakuru, becoming the first and only female TV reporter stationed there, which motivated other major media houses to establish a presence in the region.

Hanifa Farsafi Adan is an influencer primarily on the social media platform X, an activist and a social commentator

She mostly focuses on social issues affecting society which has forced government officials to fix recurring problems.

Most notably, in 2023 she trained the spotlight on the broken drainage system in Korogocho slums which was posing a serious health risk to residents.

Elijah Kanyi is a camera operator and a journalist working with Africa Uncensored.

The seasoned journalist, this year continued to be recognised for his stellar work including being named the Camera Person and Journalist of the Year at the 2023 Annual Journalism Excellence Awards(AJEA).

He was recognised alongside John Allan Namu and Clint Obere for the best investigative story in the digital category for the investigative piece Justice be Our Shield. 

Tom Odula is an investigative reporter working with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

He is behind some of the leading investigative pieces such as Sex for Work: The True Cost of Our Tea which exposed the protracted sexual harassment of female staff working in Kericho tea farms.

The investigative piece led to the arrests of some senior managers working at the tea farms. The expose also sparked national outrage prompting the government to act. 

Eric Latiff, a journalist and radio talk show host at Spice FM, owned by the Standard Media Group, stands out as one of the most polished journalists in the country.

Hosting the widely watched political talk show "The Situation Room" on Spice FM, Latiff has positioned himself as a catalyst for informed discussions that shape public opinion and fuel meaningful debates. 

Zeynab Wandati currently serving as the Sustainability and Climate Editor at the Nation Media Group is one of the most decorated science journalists not only in Kenya but in the African continent. 

She first got global recognition in 2017 when she received the FAO’s a.H Boerma Award. 

This was in appreciation of her commitment to environmental journalism and the positive societal impact stemming from her reporting. 

Smriti Vidyarthi is currently working at Nation Media Group (NMG) as a Senior News Anchor and Editor at NTV Kenya.

Smriti presents news alongside Mark Masai, with whom she has graced TV screens for more than a decade. 

Vidyarthi is also a renowned moderator of discussions and political debates on TV and radio.
