• 9:10 am Members of Parliament have raised alarm over the state of Kenya’s devolved health system, warning that maternal deaths are rising due to drug shortages, negligence, collapsing infrastructure, and misplaced county priorities.
• 8:50 am KeNHA has issued a 30-day notice to traders and businesses operating on road reserves along national highways, warning them to remove all unlawful structures, billboards, advertisements, and directional signs or risk demolition.   
• 8:40 am TSC has announced over 9,000 teaching vacancies, including 7,065 for primary, 12 for junior, and 2,082 for secondary schools, to replace teachers who have exited service.  
• 8:10 am ODM has threatened to sue the DCP leader, Rigathi Gachagua, over remarks in which he alleged that the party, together with the IEBC, had planned to rig the Magarini by-election.  
• 7:24 am Kenya will host the Africa–France Summit in Nairobi in May 2026, an event that President William Ruto says will bring together Heads of State, business leaders, young entrepreneurs, civil society, investors, and creative artists from across Africa and France.
