New Kenya Co-operative Creameries Limited (NKCC) has begun the process of replacing the existing MD of the parastatal.
In an advert published in local dailies, the parastatal has advertised the position and asked all interested candidates to make applications before June 3, 2024, by 5 pm.
This announcement comes after the MD was sued for allegedly serving a third term which goes against the regulations. A petitioner had filed the case in April 2022 asking the court to order him to vacate the office.
However, the MD has been serving since 2015 and is still listed on the parastatal's website.
In the past few months, the MD has also spoken on behalf of NKCC despite the opposition.
Job Application
Some of the MD's roles include leading the strategic direction, operational excellence and control of New KCC's entire supply chain to deliver high-quality milk and milk products in the local and international markets.
"The Managing Director shall hold office for a term of three (3) years and shall be eligible for re-appointment once subject to satisfactory performance and delivery of set performance targets. New KCC offers salary and benefits consistent with scales approved by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission," reads part of the audit.
Applicants must have a Master's Degree in Business administration, Agribusiness, Economics, Reproduction Processing, Law or a related field and the degree must be from a recognised institution,
They must have 10 years of experience in a senior management position and over 15 years in a large commercial entity.
All interested applicants should provide a detailed curriculum vitae indicating their current salary, copies of all relevant certificates and testimonials, and the contact information of at least three referees.
These forms should be sent to the Chairman of the organisation before the stipulated timeline.
NKCC adds that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted to proceed with the next phase of the recruitment process.
All successful candidates must meet the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution and the Leadership and Integrity Act.
