Embakasi West Member of Parliament Mark Mwenje on Saturday, June 22, alleged that the son of Attorney General (AG) Justin Muturi had been arrested.

In a viral clip, the Jubilee Party elected legislator pinned the blame on police officers urging them to release Muturi’s son.

He recounted that he was in a convoy with the young man when he was hijacked by suspected police officers wearing combat uniforms.

“We are here in Lavington Kilimani, My friend Lesley Muturi son of AG Justin Muturi has just been hijacked by police here on the road,” the MP stated.

He remarked that he was the one who was following Lesley’s car before it was intercepted by suspected police officers.

“The police who have taken him, we are informing you to release him,” he warned.

Mwenje requested the help of Gen Z's in locating Lesley adding that he had been unable to locate where he was taken.

This came hours after over 50,000 Kenyans joined X Spaces to clamour for the release of Billy Simani popularly known as Crazy Nairobian.

While Simani was arrested in connection to the ongoing Finance Bill protests, it is not clear what caused the disappearance of Lesley Muturi.

Mwenje stated that he had the utmost conviction that the politician’s son was being held by the police.

“The cops are telling us they don't know where he is. The guys who have taken him are cops and I am the one who's seen it,” he stated.

Mwenje alleged that Lesley was whisked away by a white Alto Landcruiser and he had been successful in capturing the plates of the vehicle.
