UPDATE at 7:45pm: In a chilling turn of events, it has now emerged that a woman's vivid dream about her missing sister led to a horrifying discovery at a local quarry in Mukuru on Friday.
According to Moses Baraka, one of the individuals involved in the recovery efforts, the woman approached them seeking assistance after her dream indicated her sister's body might be at the site.
"We accompanied her to the location where she believed her sister's body was located, as shown in her dream," Baraka recounted.
Baraka and a group of volunteers then carefully lowered ropes into the quarry, following the woman's intuition. To their shock, they unearthed multiple bodies concealed in sacks.
So far 10 bodies have been recovered at the site, although there are varying reports. The DCI reports six bodies.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, and the country as speculations emerge over who exactly is responsible for the murders and mutilation.
Update at 6:45pm: The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has confirmed an investigation into six severely mutilated female bodies found in Mukuru kwa Njenga, suggesting a similar mode of killing among the victims.
DCI Director Mohamed Amin reported that police from the Embakasi Division responded to an urgent call about the gruesome discovery at an abandoned, water-filled quarry used as a dumpsite. The bodies, wrapped in nylon and tied with ropes, have been transported to the City Mortuary for postmortem examinations.
Homicide detectives and forensic officers are analysing samples to identify the victims, while the area remains cordoned off as a crime scene. The DCI urges the public to assist authorities as investigations continue.

"We tied ropes and dropped one of us into the pit to check. He confirmed there were other bodies. They are all tied in blue sacks," the witness stated.
The lack of information has intensified fears within the local community, leaving residents grappling with uncertainty.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident, compelling many to turn their gaze toward law enforcement for answers.
