"I have directed the police and all those involved including the DCI and homicide that they investigate what happened," he directed.

The Head of State called on the law enforcement agencies to expedite the matter and bring to book all the perpetrators of the heinous crime.

President Ruto stated the government would do everything possible to arrest all the culprits involved in the gruesome murder of about nine women.

"Those who were involved in the death of those kids in the Quarry have to pay. They must be found and action taken against them," Ruto stated.

According to Ruto, the killings witnessed in Mukuru were against the constitution and the human rights of any nation.

"Those charged with investigating the matter witnessed in the quarry were many Kenyans including young women must be found, taken to court and law applied to its fullest.

Ruto's directive comes a day after detectives disclosed they had commenced investigations into the matter. The bodies were discovered at an abandoned quarry-turned-dumpsite in Mukuru.

The bodies were discovered wrapped in polythene bags and tied with ropes. As of Saturday noon, the total number of recovered bodies had risen to 14.
