Mudavadi missed the event as he was attending the burial of the late David Kirinyet, the father of the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Parliamentary Affairs, Aurelia Ronoh. However, he encouraged Kenyans to support Ruto's decision.

Following the signing of the MoU, Mudavadi emphasized that the unity between the two parties is to bring unity among Kenyans.

He also stated that Ruto's vision is focused on progress and concern for the people of Kenya and urged the country to support him.

“We must support Ruto to the hilt, and I want to say that Ruto's agenda is to unite Kenya, and his moves of uniting with ODM are because he wants to see progress and because he worries for the people of Kenya, and we should support him,” Mudavadi said.

"We sat and discussed as ANC; we decided to unite with UDA and set aside ANC, and as we speak right now, I am a member of UDA to support Ruto," he added.

He also mentioned that Ruto had sent him Ksh2 million to support Principal Secretary Aurelia Ronoh's family.

Among those present were former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto, Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport Davis Chirchir, and Principal Secretary State Department for Sports Peter Tum, among others.

The signed agreement for the immediate audit of the country's national debt detailed how each debt taken by Kenya was used.

Additionally, Raila and Ruto submitted to end corruption in the country and stop waste of public resources, particularly by leaders within the government.

After the burial service, Mudavadi joined Ruto as he chaired the Kenya Kwanza Parliamentary Group meeting at State house, Nairobi.

He added that Ruto endorsement is to put the country's interest first over political differences.

"Endorsed President Ruto's call to lawmakers to put the Country's interest first and prioritize the welfare of Kenya over political difference," Mudavadi emphasized
