The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced a deadline change for the 4,000 internship positions under the State Department for Housing and Urban Development.
In a statement released on July 25, the application deadline was moved to August 14, 2025, instead of the earlier date of September 6, 2025.
"The application deadline for the Internship Opportunities in the State Department for Housing and Urban Development has been changed to August 14, 2025," the notice reads.
The commission clarified that applicants who had already applied under the original deadline do not need to reapply.
The advertised positions are part of a 12-month, non-renewable internship programme involving 4,000 slots, where interns will take part in Kenya's Affordable Housing Programme and other development projects.
According to the PSC, diploma or degree graduates who completed their studies in 2018 or later from a recognised university, and possess proficiency in computer skills, are encouraged to apply.
"Diploma and Degree graduates are eligible to apply. If you have already submitted your application, you do not need to apply again," the statement reads.
The commission, on July 22, 4000 opportunities in over 40 professional fields. These include interior design, environmental practice, health and safety, architecture, and civil engineering.
Other professions advertised were mechanical engineering, construction management, communications and branding, quantity surveying, structural engineering, accounting, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), digital marketing, data entry, supply chain management, building inspection, economics, as well as actuarial and property management.
Successful candidates will be responsible for completing duties mutually agreed upon and assigned by the supervisor, and for documenting the relevant skills acquired in their areas of deployment within the Affordable Housing Programme and marketing project sites across the country.
Candidates will also be required to actively participate in any relevant mentorship activities and additional responsibilities designed for the programme.
