Duale, Ogamba, Five CSs Make Key Appointments to State Departments

Several cabinet secretaries have made appointments across various ministries, introducing new faces to key state agencies and parastatals.

In a gazette notice dated Friday, August 15, Trade CS Lee Kinyanjui appointed Antony Mwangi to be a member of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Investment Authority

While appointing Mwangi to serve as a member of the board for three years, CS Kinyanjui revoked the appointment of Peter Maina Gachunga.

At the same time, the trade CS also appointed Joyce Kiprop to be a member of the Special Economic Zones Authority, for three years, effective August 15 2025.

Similarly, Kinyanjui reappointed Philip Coulson to be a member of the Special Economic Zones Authority, for the next three years beginning Friday this week.

Education CS Julius Ogamba also made two notable appointments to his ministry. He appointed Aaron Iltele Lesiantam and Racheal Njenga to serve under his docket.

He also appointed Kennedy Otieno to be a member of the Board of Directors of the National Biosafety Authority for three years.

The duo were appointed to be members of the Board of Trustees for the President’s Award, for three years, with effect from August 15 this year.

Additionally, Agriculture CS Mutahi Kagwe appointed Benard Kaparo to be a member of the Board of Trustees of the Commodities Fund for three years.

On the other hand, Cabinet Secretary for East African Community Beatrice Asukul appointed Margaret Lotukoi Nasilo, Hussein Dida Sora and Alex Kiratu.

Asukul appointed the trio to be members of the Tana and Athi Rivers Development Authority Board for three years starting Friday, August 15, 2025.

Meanwhile, Gender CS Hanna Cheptumo appointed Dorcas Obwa and Mohammed Werer to be members of the Kenya National Library Services Board for two years.
