About the Scholarships

In the level of Bachelor’s, the scholarships would be applicable in the fields of Agricultural Science, Computer Science and Information Technology, Legal Science, Economic Science, Engineering Science, Medical and Health Science, and Natural Science.

Those interested in Master’s are set for scholarship opportunities in the same fields as Bachelor’s. However, for OTM, available fields of study included General Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacology, Architecture, and Veterinary Medicine. The Ministry noted that OTM covered both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels.

Those interested in doctoral or PhD studies were informed that opportunities were available in any field of interest.

Provisions in the scholarship included tuition-free education, which is an exemption from the payment of tuition fees and a free dormitory place (depending on the institution’s capacity) or a contribution of Hungarian Forint (HUF) 40,000 a month (Ksh15,512) to accommodation costs for the whole duration of the scholarship period.

Other provisions are medical insurance and a monthly stipend. For PhD students, the monthly stipend is HUF 140,000 (Ksh54,322) for the first phase of education (four semesters) and HUF 180,000 (Ksh69,868) for the second phase (four semesters).

For Bachelor’s, One-Tier Master's, and Master's students, the monthly stipend is HUF 43,700 (Ksh16,971) for 12 months a year until the completion of studies.
