Whenever Gaza gang is mentioned, chills run down the spines of Nairobi residents.
According to a Documentary that was aired by NTV titled, Diary of Gangster: Chilling tales of a gang with a thirst for blood , a gang member who identified himself as Frank revealed that the gang was funded by two politicians, Matopeni MCA Abdi Guyo Hassan and Embakasi Central MP John Ndirangu Kariuki.
"Our funding comes from our leaders namely MCA Guyo and MP Ndirash and the money we take from offering security services to business people" he stated
The gangster further indicated that Kayole police boss knew about the operations of the gang very well.
It was alleged that the gang draws their inspiration from Jamaican artiste Vybz Kartel, who is in prison for murder.
Gaza mostly comprises of hardened criminals in their youthful age and they have terrorized residents of Nairobi and its environs for a while.
It has emerged that they have several identification marks including; a dragon or the name Gaza, a tattoo of a tear drop on the face or three cuts on one of the eyebrows.
The criminal activities of the group have led to many lives being lost and some of their victims have been left with hefty hospital bills due to extensive bodily harm.
