NASA Principal Moses Wetang’ula Reveals Teargas Canister at Chaotic Rally Almost Made him Impotent

National Super Alliance (NASA) principal Moses Wetang’ula has revealed that police officers targeted him when quelling riots at a past event with the intention of maiming him.

Speaking in Khwisero, Wetangula narrated that when he was launching his presidential bid in Kakamega in April 2016, one of the tear gas canisters lobbed by anti-riot police officers hit him directly in the crotch and left him in a lot of pain.

Wetangula stated that the tear gas canister that hit him caused him a lot of injuries after it was hurled at the main dais.

“The tear gas caused a stubborn cough that lasted at least two months after the horrifying incident. They had ill intentions by targeting my private parts,” said Wetangula.

He added that the target by the police officers was to render him impotent and inflict as much damage as possible.

During the incident, a meeting that had been called by Wetangula to unveil his presidential bid at the Muliro Gardens turned chaotic after supporters clashed at the grounds.

As Wetang’ula was about to give his acceptance speech after being installed as a Luhya elder, a faction allegedly supported by Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya clashed with those of Wetangula.

Police were forced to hurl tear gas canisters at the dais, forcing dozens of dignitaries including Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to scamper for safety.

Senator Wetangula claimed Oparanya did not want him to launch his presidential bid at the historic Muliro Gardens.
