Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya Accuses NASA Principals Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka of Vested Interests in Sh5.4 Trillion Project

Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya on Tuesday sensationally claimed that National Super Alliance (NASA) principals, Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka, were involved in the trillion shillings mining business in the county.

Speaking in Tiwi, the Governor claimed that Odinga and Musyoka had vested interest in the Sh5.4 Trillion Mrima Hills minerals being extracted by Base Titanium in Kwale.

Mvurya accused the two NASA candidates of being interested in the County only because of the mineral deposits in the county.

“When you see people saying they are in NASA, don’t celebrate because they want our resources. That is why Raila is interested in Mrima Hills while Kalonzo signed the licence for Base Titanium, (the then Tiomin Company) in 1997," claimed Mvurya.

He further disclosed that Kwale Wiper party governor aspirant Chirau Ali Mwakwere was acting as a proxy for the two leaders in the county.

The Governor alleged that Mwakwere was working in the interest of the two leaders when he was the Environment Minister.

Mvurya’s sentiments were echoed by Mining CS Dan Kazungu who dismissed the Opposition leader accusing them of using the Coast people for selfish interests.
