Former Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Gladys Boss Shollei walked out of an interview with NTV journalist Jane Ngoiri after she was enraged by questions she was being asked.
Shollei, who has previously been accused of misappropriating funds during her time in office, refused to answer questions regarding a palatial residence in Runda that was supposedly bought by the Judiciary for around Sh300 Million.
When Ngoiri tried to probe her further, she stated that she had already answered similar questions before so there was no point of conducting the interview.
"You are asking me the same questions that I answered before. I have explained it. It made headlines for 10 weeks and I gave my explanation.
"You really want me to start narrating that story now?" In fact, I don't think we should do this interview," she said.
Shollei then unhooked her lapel mic and gave Ngoiri a piece of her mind before she walked away.
Before the walkout, Shollei seemed defensive whenever she was questioned about integrity issues and refused to comment on allegations that she had requested for a salary increment prior to her dismissal.
This comes a few days after civil society groups listed her among leaders who should be barred from contesting in the forthcoming elections due to integrity issues.
Shollei is set to vie for the Uasin Gishu Woman Representative seat after she emerged winner during the recently concluded Jubilee Party Primaries.
Twitter was divided as some people backed her move to walk out of the interview while others slammed her cowardice in avoiding questions that would have set the record straight.
