The lifeless body of a woman was on Tuesday found inside the house of a Member of County Assembly (MCA).
The woman who was not immediately identified was found hanging on a rope in the house belonging to Kisumu Ward representative, Nereah Okombo.
According to witnesses, the house which is located in Manyatta B estate was still under construction.
Reports indicate that the 22-year-old mother of one committed suicide due to marital problems.
Confirming the incident, Kisumu County commander, Titus Yoma, divulged that the deceased left behind a suicide which had contact details of her husband.
The body was later taken to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital. as investigations into the incident began.
Ms Okombo, on her part, noted that she was returning from being cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) when she was informed about the incident.
"After clearing I went straight to my sister's place and that's when I was called," she stated.
