Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Replaces Officials in Homa-Bay County

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party has moved to replace leaders in Homa Bay County barely two months to election day.

The leaders are said to have resigned from the party soon after they lost in the party nominations that were held in April.

Those who are set to be replaced include Kasipul Member of Parliament (MP) Oyugi Magwanga, Kabondo Kasipul MP Silvance Osele and Karachuonyo Parliamentary hopeful Tom Dola.

Homa Bay Town party branch chairman Lazarus Obila accompanied by his Mbita counterpart Narkiso Tuko, condemned the leaders for opting to vie as independent candidates asserting that they could no longer be considered members of the party.

The county is considered one of the Opposition's strongholds and has been rocked by protests since the campaign season kicked off.
