The IEBC has fined Rarieda Parliamentary Aspirant Netto Adhola Sh250,000 for using ODM Party colours and images of NASA Flag bearer Raila Odinga in his campaign materials.
Mr Adhola, who was previously in ODM, is looking to unseat incumbent Nicholas Gumbo as an independent candidate.
Adhola quit ODM after his rival, former Ombudsman Otiende Amollo, was declared the winner in the ODM nominations in April.
Earlier on, the two candidates had declared themselves winners leading to the nullification of ODM nominations in Rarieda.
Amollo was later awarded the certificate forcing Adhola to protest, stating that it was him who won the ticket.
“Mr Amolo’s victory is null and void since the results were nullified by the presiding officer after he sensed defeat and declared himself a winner,” Adhola stated.
