Kenyans on Friday were engaged in a long discussion after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) ruled in favour of Kibwezi East Member of Parliament Jessica Mbalu.
The Wiper Party politician had filed an election offence suit against Jubilee party's parliamentary hopeful Prof. Philip Kaloki, whose supporters she claimed had threatened to rape her.

Prof. Kaloki was fined Sh500,000 which he is required to have paid within 24 hours or risk disqualification from the race.

The topic trended after High Court Judge George Odunga ruled against the National Super Alliance (NASA) petition to suspend the Sh2.5 Billion ballot paper tender awarded to Al Ghurair.
Chief Justice David Maraga had earlier issued a statement declaring that the court would not make any decision that would hamper the elections.

The SportPesa Chief Executive Officer, Ronald Karauri, caused a buzz after he announced that the gaming company would withdraw all sponsorship meant for clubs and federations starting January 1, 2018.
