20 houses were set ablaze in Embakasi, Nairobi, on Wednesday evening in an incident blamed on local politics.
Two people were also stabbed and seriously injured in the process.
According to police reports, the attackers were allegedly ferried to the scene by a local politician.
The attackers are believed to have been avenging the murder of one of their own during a political rally in Mradi area on Sunday.
Seven people were arrested during the incident.
Police officers were deployed to the scene to maintain peace.
