Kalonzo Musyoka Reveals How Jubilee Will Rig Elections Using Secret Polling Stations in Opposition Strongholds

With about 37 days to the August polls, National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Kalonzo Musyoka has revealed how Jubilee is planning to rig the elections in the opposition stronghold.

The Wiper leader claimed that the government was planning to manipulate the elections results through a scheme to include secret polling stations.

This move he stated was meant to illegally increase Jubilee vote tally in the opposition strongholds.

“Voting in secret polling stations are some of the strategies that have been developed to manipulate the outcome of the August poll,” he claimed.

He also accused the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) of not making the number of polling stations clear sparking speculation on a scheme to add secret polling stations.

He added that figures from the electoral body kept changing disrupting the party's planning for the elections.

IEBC, however,  rubbished Kalonzo's claims stating that it had finalized the list of polling centers which it had placed at 41,000 stations with 19,611,423 voters.

Andrew Limo who is IEBC’s communications manager addressed NASA’s claims stating that they kept the opposition regularly updated with figures right from registration.

“We had a one-month verification exercise where people came to check if their finger prints matched their registration details,” Limo stated.

Jubilee party Vice Chairman David Murathe stated that NASA was using delaying tactics as they were afraid of losing the August polls.

“We know they are worried of defeat and they want to precipitate a political crisis through their allegations so that they get half of the government," he stated.
