Kenya Revenue Authority Customs and Border Control Supervisor Jared Ratemo Killed and Dumped Along Mombasa Road

A senior Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Supervisor was on Wednesday killed and his body dumped along Mombasa Road in Nairobi.

Mr Jared Ratemo Mokua, who had been reported missing on Tuesday, was found dumped at the junction of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport/ Mombasa Road.

Reports indicate that the late Mokua, who was the Customs and Border Control Supervisor, was strangled and hit using a blunt object on the head.

Nairobi police boss Japheth Koome confirmed the incident stating that they had launched investigations into the murder.

“It seems the deceased was killed somewhere and the body dumped where it was found. We are yet to establish the motive and those behind it,” Koome stated.

Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko has ordered a probe into the murder.

According to Mokua's family, the deceased had travelled to Nairobi for work when he met his brutal death.

The family further noted that they would fight to ensure justice is served and the perpetrators of the act are brought to book.

“We don’t know why my brother was killed this way. We will, however, make sure we know the truth,” said Mokua's brother.

The body of the deceased has since been moved  to the Chiromo Mortuary.
