Car Associated with Musician Charles Njagua aka Jaguar Involved in Accident

Police are on the look out for a car associated with Starehe parliamentary aspirant Charles Njagua aka Jaguar that was involved in an accident in Nairobi's South B estate last week and sped off.

The case was reported at Industrial Area police station under OB/41/13/7/2017 and it is alleged that it hit a car belonging to Rose Masoni.

Masoni stated that her car was hit by the politician's vehicle while on a campaign trail, saying the driver was on phone at the time.

"The occupants of the car alighted holding walkie-talkies.

"They immediately jumped back into their vehicle and drove off claiming they were busy," she was quoted by The Star.

A police officer handling the case said they had summoned Jaguar but to no avail.

In March, police in Mwea, Kirinyaga County, were on the spot for allegedly trying to cover up a fatal accident involving another car belonging to musician Jaguar.

The accident involved Jaguar's Range Rover Sports and claimed the lives of a boda boda rider, Peter Mugo, 27, and his passenger, Sinfolian Maingi, 25, a bar attendant.

The car is said to have knocked down the rider and his passenger along Sagana-Makutano highway.

Although the musician insists he was the one behind the wheel, another theory backed by witnesses, stated that the car was being driven by a woman who was in the company of two other people.
