Mombasa is Stinking and Dirty Because Joho is a Failure - Uhuru Declares

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday hit out at his fierce rival, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho accusing him of being a failure who had let down the people who elected him to office.

Speaking in Jomvu during a Jubilee rally, the President noted that Joho had focused more on attacking him and failed to deliver his promises to the people of Mombasa.

President Kenyatta stated that Governor Joho had failed to clear garbage from the city with mounds “becoming mountains”.

"Your leader here has resorted to abusing me instead of delivering service to the people of Mombasa. He thinks by abusing me he is being a hero. But I tell him that abusing me will not give me sleepless nights. I will eat and sleep soundly," he stated.

The Head of state advised Joho to work hard and fulfil his promises to the county residents if he wanted to be a real hero.

"Calling yourself sultan and chest thumping does not put food on the table or solve the problems at the Coast. I am telling him that being a hero is acquired through doing work for the people," Uhuru stated.

The President attacked the Governor over claims that Jubilee wanted to move the port to Naivasha stating that “how can we as Jubilee carry all the ocean water from Mombasa to Naivasha? It’s only God who can do that”.

Deputy President William Ruto on his part asked the Governor to go back to school stating that education was now easily accessible to all.

“We are telling your governor to go back to school because education in Kenya is free. He cannot understand that we cannot transfer the port of Mombasa to Naivasha because of his questionable education,” Ruto stated.

The President and his deputy urged voters in Mombasa to embrace a six-piece voting system and elect Jubilee candidates for Governor, Senator, Woman Rep,  and Ward Reps.

Joho, however, dismissed the President's remarks stating that Uhuru was just a tourist who would not sway the Coastal residents from supporting the Opposition.
