DT Dobie Requests Billionaire Businessman Jimmy Wanjigi to Collect His Sh10 Million Car

Car dealer DT Dobie has listed a company linked to Nairobi billionaire Jimmy Wanjigi among those who have failed to collect their cars.

Mr Wanjigi is the chairman of Kwacha Group of Companies and according to the list that was gazetted on Friday, the company has seemingly abandoned a Mercedes Benz S500 valued at Sh8.8 Million (without freight cost and taxes).

DT Dobie sounded a warning to all those who had not collected their cars that they would be disposed after three months.

Siaya Senator James Orengo was also asked to pick a Nissan Navara Double Cabin while the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) had also not collected a Nissan pick-up.

The Devolution and Interior Ministries were also notified to pick a Nissan Patrol and Volkswagen Passat respectively.

Wanjigi has often been mentioned as the financier of several high-profile politicians during campaigns though he often maintains a low profile.

Some credit him as being the brains behind the construction of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) during the Grand Coalition government where he acted as a link between former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Chinese investors who wanted to finance the project.

It is also alleged that his fall out with Odinga led him to join forces with current President Uhuru Kenyatta.
