Musalia Mudavadi Reveals Why Wetangula and Isaac Ruto Missed NASA's Major Address

Immediate former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula did not attend NASA's eagerly awaited national address on the Opposition's next course of action, after rejecting the presidential results of last week's General Election.

Addressing their absentia, NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi explained that Ruto could not make it as he was "out of town".

"We extend an apology from Honourable Isaac Ruto from Bomet who is out of town. We were with him earlier in the morning but he had to travel out of Town," Mudavadi stated.

On Wetangula's whereabouts, Mudavadi said: “Honourable Moses Wetangula had to travel to Bungoma but he will join us tomorrow.”

Ruto has been out of the public limelight after suffering a humiliating defeat to former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Joyce Laboso.

Laboso, who was vying on a Jubilee Party ticket, garnered 175,932 votes against the Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) Leader who got 85,863 votes.

Wetangula, however, retained his seat after he beat his closest competitor by a landslide.

The Ford-Kenya Leader got 261,860 votes against Jubilee Party's Eusebius Juma Mukhwana who got 58,683 votes.

Meanwhile, NASA leaders have declared they are moving to court to challenge President Uhuru Kenyatta's win which they termed as "computer generated".

"We have now decided to move to the supreme court and lay in front of the world the making of a computer generated elections," part of the NASA statement read.
