Jubilee Leaders Join NASA's ANC to Form Kakamega County Assembly Opposition

Minority Members of County Assembly in Kakamega County have agreed to come together to form the Opposition in the newly elected House.

Amani National Congress (ANC) and Jubilee Party MCAs announced that they would join forces to put Governor Wycliffe Oparanya in check.

Of the 60 County Assembly slots, ODM had the majority seats with 33 seats, ANC garnered 19.

Speaking for the ANC Party, MCA Godliver Omondi told journalists that the party would seek to take up the top positions for the minority side.

"ANC will be fighting for the positions of minority leader and minority whip. We want to counter-check the executive. We want to ensure ANC is vibrant in the county," Ms Omondi conveyed.

The ANC leader added that the Musalia Mudavadi-led party would be seeking to take its position away from the National Super Alliance (NASA) umbrella.
