A 17-year-old girl whose identity is yet to be revealed has been arrested over the murder of slain IEBC ICT Manager Chris Msando.
Reports indicate the girl was in possession of a phone that was used to send threatening messages to Mr Msando.
According to police officers, the girl was arrested in Awendo, Migori County.
The suspect was brought to Nairobi where she appeared before the Kiambu Juvenile Court and has been remanded at the Muthaiga Police Station.
She will be detained for a period of seven days to enable detectives finalise their investigation.
Last year Msando complained of receiving threatening messages on his mobile phone and reported the matter at the Central police station.
The former IEBC Manager's body was discovered in a bush in Kikuyu on July 31 three days after he went missing. He was killed alongside a 21-year-old woman identified as Caroline Gumbu.
He was buried in his family's home in Lifunga Kobiero, Siaya County last week.
