Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor today stated that all nine bodies had been positively identified.

Mr Oduor asked the affected families to collect the bodies of their loved ones following completion of the identification.

The Moi Girls inferno that took place on September 2nd, saw a dormitory razed down, killing nine and leaving 16 hospitalized.

A student was arrested in connection with the incident on Tuesday, September 5th in Thome, Kasarani Sub-County, Nairobi.

She was arraigned at the Juvenile Court on September 6th where Children’s Court Magistrate Teresia Nyangena ordered she be detained for seven days.

The case will next be heard tomorrow with a bail application to set be argued.

The fire triggered a conversation on safety concerns in schools.

Issues including grills on windows, lack of fire extinguishers or laid down procedures in case of fire have been brought up.
