ODM MP Junet Mohamed Announces Why He'll Not Vote on October 17

Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed has declared that he will not participate in the October 17 presidential poll.

Conveying his protest, Junet reiterated the official position of the Opposition in calling for IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba to resign from the electoral body.

Through his official Twitter account, the ODM parliamentarian stated: "If Chiloba and co (company) do not get out of IEBC I will not vote in the coming election. That's my personal opinion.."

The post attracted numerous comments with some of his followers encouraging him to do so at the expense of his preferred presidential candidate, NASA's Raila Odinga.

Others commented in support of the lawmaker's assertion while encouraging him to soldier on with the call for the IEBC to be restructured.

Junet later posted a new tweet that suggested he was simply trying to make a point with the controversial post.
