Gatundu South Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Kuria has sent an urgent message to the Luo community just a few weeks after being released from jail where he was accused of uttering remarks that were considered hate speech.
Addressing a Jubilee rally at Kitengela, Kajiado County on Saturday, Kuria stated that he had no issue with the Luo nation or any other community in the country.
Kuria clarified that his problem was with the Opposition Leader Raila Odinga and not the community at large.
"I have been accused of hating the Luo community but that is not true; my only problem is with Mr Odinga," he stated.
Commenting on last week's detailed Supreme Court ruling, the Legislator stated that investigations should start immediately on allegations that the report by Supreme Court Registrar Esther Nyaiyaki was doctored.
"I urge the DPP to arrest the registrar since she was committing a crime," Kuria stated.
Former Budalangi Legislator Ababu Namwamba who accompanied Kuria noted that Mr Odinga should drop out of the contest against President Uhuru Kenyatta if he is not ready for the October poll.
"If Raila is not ready he should write a letter to (IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati) to remove himself from the race so that we can swear in Uhuru Kenyatta," Namwamba noted.
The ex-legislator hit out at the Supreme Court for annulling President Kenyatta's win explaining that the majority decision of the Court was unreasoned, illogical, thoughtless and absolutely baseless.
"It was a decision that cannot stand the test of juristic scrutiny," he stated.
