Caroline Mutoko Reveals How Raila Surprised Her Last Week

Celebrated media personality Caroline Mutoko has revealed that she was surprised when a video she did on why President Uhuru Kenyatta should let NASA leader Raila Odinga be the president went viral.

According to Mutoko, Mr Odinga commands a lot of influence in the country and media houses have to include him in their stories to make sales.

In her most recent video on her YouTube channel, Ms Mutoko states that Raila sets the agenda for the whole nation and is more powerful at the moment as opposed to when he was the Prime Minister.

"He is enjoying power. He is very powerful at the moment and you've got to be naive not to even admit that.

"He was not powerful when he was Prime Minister, he had the trappings of power," stated Mutoko.

She added that the former PM is enjoying the current political climate and that is why he pushed for the elections to be postponed.

"Your reasons for having the election no later than October 26 are valid and Raila's reasons for not having elections on that day are also valid," she stated.

Odinga rejected the fresh October 26th date announced by the Independent and Electoral Commission (IEBC) for the repeat presidential election.

The former Prime Minister further maintained that there will be no election in the aforementioned day because IEBC has continued to ignore NASA's demands.

Last week, Raila alleged the new date was proposed by French firm Safran Morpho, a company firm hired for the August polls and which NASA wants barred from playing part in the repeat election.

"With every passing day it is getting clear that our conditions will not be met and so there will be election. We will not allow Uhuru Kenyatta to take our country down the path of failed nations," the ODM Party leader stated.

Raila claimed that Jubilee politicians proposed the approved date which coincides with President Uhuru's 56th birthday.

"They want to give Uhuru a birthday gift there is no election on 26th," he remarked.
