MP Exposes Dirty Trick Jubilee is Using in Coast

Elected leaders from Kwale County have accused Jubilee Party of using relief food delivery by Devolution Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri to bribe voters ahead of the fresh Presidential Election.

Addressing a Sunday rally in Diani led by MPs Suleiman Dori, Benjamin Tayari and Kassim Tandaza and Kwale Senator Boy Issa Juma, the leaders demanded that the Government stops using relief food as a campaign tool.

They also called on the Jubilee leadership, specifically Deputy President William Ruto, to accord National Super Alliance Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga the respect he deserves.

Dori, who is Msambweni MP, stated: "We don't want to see leaders give our people maize and beans as a way of buying them. The food has been bought using public funds. He (Kiunjuri) should look for work to do, not flying here to bribe people with food."

“We will move around asking people to vote for NASA and the other side (Jubilee) should also ask for votes peacefully,” Dori added.

They reiterated NASA's position that there would be no elections without reforms, and called for the immediate removal of IEBC Chief Executive Officer Ezra Chiloba from office.

NASA has been holding demonstrations across the nation every Monday and Friday as they try to pile pressure on the electoral body to meet its 'Irreducible Minimums' demands.

Aside from Chiloba's removal,  the coalition has been calling for the dropping of proposed amendments to electoral laws by Jubilee.

They have also demanded the blacklisting of companies they accuse of perpetuating electoral fraud in favor of President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August election; particularly Dubai-based Printing firm Al Ghurair and Paris-based digital security firm IDEMIA (formerly OT-Morpho).

Their stance on Al Ghurair has, however, softened after running mate Kalonzo Musyoka declared they would consider going into the election if Chiloba was removed and the proposed electoral laws dropped.
