A National Super Alliance (NASA) leader on Sunday attacked the husband of IEBC official Immaculate Kasait over a row on whether the electoral body officials should step down before the fresh election.
During a debate on NTV, ODM Deputy Treasurer Ogla Karani hit out at Immacuate's husband William Kasait Kamket urging him to ask his wife to step down after bungling the August polls.
"If you know that Raila will not win again can you start by telling your wife at IEBC to step down? Because she is the cause of rigging our elections. If she steps down we will show you how we will win the election," Ms Karani started.
She continued on her rant stating: "For the sake of your children, she should be the first person to step down we have seen her working with the wrong people for so long and stealing our election since 2007. If you are very sure as a man, tell her today to step down and go home and keep her home then you will see how we will win our election."
Mr Kasait, who is also the MP of Tiaty constituency, shrugged off the comments from the ODM leader stating that the opposition's call for reforms was a malicious assault on IEBC officials.
"Reform is about the law, it is about structures not targetting innocent Kenyans who are earning their daily bread," he explained.

The Jubilee legislator added that no matter what strategies the Opposition employed before the election, it was mathematically impossible for flag bearer Raila Odinga to become President.
"Raila's goal is to disorganize organized institutions, the end result with whatever they do Raila will retire on 26th and it will be a famous retirement," Mr Kasait stated.
During the August election, Ms Kasait was the Directorate of Voter Registration and Electoral Operations where she was responsible for voter registration strategies and inspection of voters register, electoral operations, electoral dispute resolution, logistics and electoral training.
