Former Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) point man in Meru Mike Makarina has revealed that leaders are defecting from NASA because flag bearer Raila Odinga has failed to prepare for the election.
Speaking on Monday, Makarina further accused the opposition of plotting to plunge the country into chaos.
Makarina, who was recently received into Jubilee by President Uhuru Kenyatta, accused NASA of planning to disrupt the repeat election.
"I am fed up with supporting the opposition because of their obsession with demonstrations. We welcomed the Supreme Court ruling but NASA leader Raila Odinga has refused to prepare for the election. Makarina stated.

I consulted widely with other NASA supporters in Meru and we decided to cross over to Jubilee. NASA's demands may lead the country into chaos," he added.
However, Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Suna East MP, Junet Mohammed dismissed the claims accusing defectors of being sour losers of the August 8 election.
“These are people who lost the election and they are bitter. They are not even bitter with Raila they are bitter with the people who defeated them,” he stated.

Junet affirmed that NASA was prepared for the election adding that they would participate if the IEBC conducts a credible poll.
“We are prepared for the election. We will participate if the IEBC delivers an election as per the constitution,” he affirmed.
He defended the demonstrations stating that they were a tool used by the oppressed to advocate for change.
