Moses Wetangula and Fred Matiang'i Insult Each Other on SMS [VIDEO]

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and acting Interior CS Fred Matiang'i exchanged insults via SMS on Thursday.

This followed Matiang'i's announcement that there would be no more demonstrations within the Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa CBDs.

Speaking during a press conference, Wetangula divulged that he sent a message to Matiang'i stating: "Mr Matiangi, why dont you engage a lawyer to advice you on the constitutionality of your actions, utterances and threats to innocent Kenyans. You have no power or capacity to ban lawful protests.

The Senator went on to say that the Education CS replied the text message with one word; "nonsense!"

Wetangula further stated that he simply responded to Matiang'i with: "That's exactly what you are, arrogant, distasteful and unfit to hold public office."

The Bungoma Senator went on to add that the Opposition would hold Matiang'i responsible should NASA CEO Norman Magaya be harmed.

Earlier on, Matiang'i announced that the government would proceed to prefer charges to all those demonstrators who turned violent adding that they will take action against Magaya, who was the organiser of the anti-IEBC protests.

"NASA's Norman Magaya will be charged with destruction of property during the anti-IEBC demos," Matiangi stated.

The CS further explained that the ban on the demos was aimed at protecting Kenyans and their property.

This came a day after the Opposition announced that from next week, it would hold daily protests to force IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba and other officials whom they accuse of interfering with the August elections out of office.
