ODM MP Reveals What NASA Will Do on Election Day

An Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Member of Parliament on Saturday revealed that the Opposition will hold massive demonstrations on the election day set for October 26th, 2017.

Speaking during a rally at Kibra, Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed stated that the National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters will on 26th crown their ongoing anti-IEBC demos.

"On 26th October it will be the climax of the protests, on that day, we will crown the demos," Junet stated.

Addressing the killing of three NASA supporters in Migori on Friday, Mr Mohammed explained that the shooting of the supporters was unacceptable adding that police were wrong to "kill innocent Kenyans exercising their democratic rights.

“There are goons and mercenaries hired by the State to commit various atrocities against the NASA supporters, Are the people who were killed not Kenyans? This is totally unacceptable,” Mohammed noted.

Siaya Senator James Orengo, condemned the police for use of excessive force adding that the Jubilee government was unfairly and deliberately persecuting people in Luo Nyanza.

“There is a determination to turn Luo land into the Biafra or Kosovo of Kenya. You do not need to kill more than 100 people to classify the police actions as genocide against civilians. Article 6 and 7 of the International Crimes Act is clear, you cannot kill people advancing different agenda,” Orengo stated.

The Senator warned the police against killing NASA supporters and teargassing school children adding that the Opposition will take action if the police do not change their ways.

"If the brutality against our people continues, we will not sit back and see our people being butchered. We will take action that will ensure the self-defense of our people against a marauding State,” Orengo cautioned.
