Leading telecommunication provider, Safaricom has introduced a fast and effective way of using the M-PESA money platform.
M-PESA 1 tap provides users with the simplest, safest and most convenient way to buy goods and services.
Through the platform, one is guaranteed of safe transactions while using the different M-PESA services, for example, Lipa na M-PESA.
The feature also allows you to connect your M-PESA account using a card, sticker or a wristband device.
All you need to do to buy goods and services via M-PESA 1 tap is to tap, enter your PIN.
The service can be used in Supermarkets, retail shops, and restaurants.
To start off, the seller will first have to enter the amount of money to be paid onto the M-PESA 1 Tap Point of Sale Device for the transaction to be processed.
As a buyer, you will then have to identify your M-PESA 1 Tap onto the Point of Sale device in the seller's device (you will identify by tapping your M-PESA 1Tap).
After these transactions, you will then receive a pop-up notification on your phone asking you to enter your M-PESA pin.
The transaction will only be completed once you enter your pin to confirm the payment.
To get the M-PESA 1 Tap (card wristband or sticker), visit any Safaricom Retail shop, M-PESA Agent or Safaricom authorized dealer.
The Safaricom dealer will connect the device to your M-PESA account and activated for use.
