Former President Moi's Message To Kenyans On Election Day

Former President Daniel Arap Moi has urged Kenyans to remain peaceful in this highly charged election period.

He spoke after casting his vote at Kabarak University, Nakuru County.

Kenya's second President voted at around noon. 

His son, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, had cast his vote a few hours earlier at Tandui Primary School in Baringo.

The Third President, Mwai Kibaki, also cast his vote at  Munaini Primary School in Othaya.

He voted at around 1 pm.

His daughter, Judy Kibaki, also cast her vote.

Former Gichugu MP Martha Karua voted at Mugumo Primary School in Kirinyaga.

Turn-out has been low across the country but the poll has largely been peaceful.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has postponed elections to October 28th in four counties where elections failed to take off; Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay and Migori.
