NASA Announces Another Fundraiser

The National Super Alliance (NASA) will on Friday conduct a fundraiser in aid of their supporters who were injured or died during the coalition's reform demonstrations.

According to leaders from the coalition, money raised at the funds drive will be used to offset medical bills for their hospitalised supporters and cater for funeral arrangements for the deceased.

Addressing the media, Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga stated that NASA would hold a prayer meeting in the morning before embarking on the Harambee later in the afternoon.

Regarding the venue, she announced that details of the meeting place would be divulged on Thursday.

"On Friday we shall have a major fundraising for all the families of the injured people in various hospitals," she stated.

The Homa Bay legislator was accompanied by her counterparts Florence Mutua (Busia), Pamela Odhiambo (Migori), Christine Ombaka (Siaya) and Suba North Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo.

Regarding the events of Friday during the homecoming of Opposition leader Raila Odinga, the MPs condemned the police for use of excessive force.

MP Wanga noted that the recent events observed in the country amounted to genocide and called on the International Criminal Court to come in and start investigations.

"It is a genocide and we asking ICC to come in. A pattern of ethnic cleansing is emerging against the Luo, Kisii, Luhya, and Kamba communities," she explained.

The legislators had earlier visited the families of their bereaved and injured supporters where they donated foodstuff.
