Former President Daniel Arap Moi on Friday advised National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga on what to do during President Uhuru Kenyatta's second term as the Head of State.
Mzee Moi urged the opposition, led by Mr Odinga, to accept working with the President in finding solutions and advocating for reforms that would address the crisis in the country.
The former President stated this in his congratulatory message to President Kenyatta on his re-election.
"I urge them to have the courage to accept your call for unity and work with you in finding sustainable solutions that bolster inclusive institutions that address long-standing societal grievances in the spirit of brotherhood," he noted.

Kenya's second President also urged Kenyatta to understand that democracy is never perfect and its challenges often become more complicated over time.
The former President further advised the Head of State to focus on uniting the country after the ongoing political stalemate that sprout after the August election.
"Having served in the position that you hold today, I know the huge task that you are about to face in your second term as you try to unite the country against a backdrop of deep political and ethnic divisions," Mr Moi noted.
Mzee Moi, nonetheless, expressed his trust in Kenyatta to get the country back to its feet by rebuilding the economy and restoring institutions.
"I am however confident that in your wisdom, your Excellency will soon embark on a policy path that will unite Kenyans by ensuring that everybody feels part and parcel of project Kenya," Mr Moi indicated.
