7 Surprise Guests Invited to Uhuru's Swearing-In

President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to be inaugurated on Tuesday 28th November 2017 at Kasarani Stadium with thousands of guests expected to grace the ceremony.

The inauguration ceremony will be divided into two parts; the ceremonial event where the President is sworn into office and the second part where guests would be treated to a State luncheon.

The President has invited seven surprise guests who made headlines this year and those he holds dear to join him as he celebrates the beginning of his second term on Tuesday.

The guests include; Ben Githae and Florence Jepng'etich the musicians who composed Jubilee's campaign song, Tano Tena. 

President Kenyatta's nursery school teacher madam Lorna Kageliza Chayuga and KCPE 2017 best candidate Goldalyn Kakuya together with her parents have also been invited to grace the occasion.

Martin Kimotho alias Githeri man who was photographed waiting to vote with his githeri in a polythene and John Gichihi Macharia who cast his ballot using his foot will also be part of the thousands at the event.

Two bloggers and a lady who predicted the re-election of the Head of State have also been welcomed to the inauguration.

All candidates who participated in the presidential election including Opposition Leader Raila Odinga and his National Super Alliance (NASA) brigade have been invited.

Head of States and Governments are also expected to be in attendance. So far, 7 Heads of States have confirmed their attendance.

On Friday, the organising committee under the leadership of the Secretary to the cabinet Joseph Kinyua announced that the ceremony would cost Sh300 Million.
